What is a tendon?

Tendons are strings of connective tissue which join muscles to bone. They differ from ligaments, which join bones together.

What is tendonitis?

Swelling and pain in a tendon may be caused by a number of factors including, overuse, pore allignment or posture, or, sudden overload such as a sprain.

How is tendonitis treated?

To treat tendonitis the podiatrist needs to remove this irritation. This can the use of orthotics, modifications to footwear, activity modification, and bracing or strapping.
